Those who make noise and disturb the public peace could be sanctioned much harsher than they are currently. The draft legislative amendment voted by the Senate last year has been pulled from the mothballs.
Noisy neighbors who do not respect quiet hours could be sentenced to community service and receive fines of up to 12,000 lei. The law currently under debate in parliament introduces, for the first time, quiet periods in the countryside, not just in the city.
