Ireland’s Ringrose Doubtful for Nations Championship
The IRFU says Ringrose is unlikely to face Argentina, Fiji or South Africa after missing Leinster's win over Munster with the injury.
On Tuesday, the Irish Rugby Football Union said Centre Garry Ringrose is "unlikely" to participate in next month's Nations Championship campaign due to a hamstring injury.
Ringrose, who has 76 caps, missed Leinster's 24-18 win over Munster last Saturday after suffering the hamstring injury in training and remained with his club in Dublin for rehabilitation.
Fly-Half Sam Prendergast remains a doubt for the Argentina match with a wrist injury, while Winger Jimmy O'Brien is following return-to-play protocols after sustaining a concussion last weekend.
Head coach Andy Farrell has decided against calling up replacements to his 36-man squad, with Robbie Henshaw likely to replace Ringrose at outside centre against Argentina.
Ireland's Nations Championship campaign begins against Argentina at Aviva Stadium on November 6, followed by Fiji and South Africa on November 14 and 21, with a final fixture at Twickenham on November 28.
