Southwire CEO Rich Stinson Announces Retirement, Upcoming Executive Changes
Rich Stinson retires after leading Southwire for a decade; Ganesh Ramaswamy will lead the $12 billion company starting December 2025, with Norman Adkins retiring in April 2026.
Rich Stinson announced his retirement on October 15, 2025, and Southwire named Ganesh Ramaswamy as president & CEO starting in December.
Stinson's decade at Southwire has included leading since 2015 with organic growth and acquisitions; he helped form the Alliance to Electrify America and serves as president of the International Cablemakers Federation.
Ganesh Ramaswamy brings executive experience from Baker Hughes, where he serves as executive vice-president for Industrial & Energy Technology, and he sits on the PACCAR board.
Norman Adkins announced he will retire in April 2026 after nearly four decades in the industry, and Southwire Chairman Roy Richards Jr. welcomed Ramaswamy while wishing Stinson well.
Company leaders say recent investments position Southwire for growth, with Ganesh Ramaswamy highlighting Southwire's 75-year legacy in innovation and sustainability.
