At the age of 2 and 6, the little boy and the young girl were rescued by an elected official on Thursday afternoon, when they were caught up by teenagers and were allegedly abandoned by their mother.
Two children, a 2-year-old boy and his 6-year-old sister, were found in a "state of distress" on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the Minguettes district of Vénissieux (Rhône). They were reportedly abandoned by their mother. An investigation into parental neglect has been opened by the Lyon prosecutor's office.
In Vénissieux, in the Rhône, two children, aged 2 and 6, were found dragging into the street, covered with bruises and bites. An investigation was opened and the children were placed in an emergency reception centre.
