The interim version of the report of the Pension Guidance Board, which fled on 6 June, envisages extending the retirement age to 66 and a half years in 2070. A proposal deemed "indecent" by the representative of the CGT of Corsica-du-Sud.
According to the report of the Pension Guidance Board, the pension system will face funding needs in the coming decades. To combat this deficit, the COR suggests a gradual reduction in the age of departure, particularly to 66.5 years in 2070.
The last overwhelming report of the Pension Guidance Board does not go on the side of union representatives. The CGT states that Gilbert Cette, its president, is "on a mission commissioned by Emmanuel Macron".
