Mitsubishi Electric Classic Par Scores
Goosen finished with 39 points after a birdie on 18 and beat Stephen Ames by two in the modified Stableford format.
On Sunday, Retief Goosen won the Mitsubishi Electric Classic at TPC Sugarloaf, finishing with 39 points to claim his fifth victory in 150 starts on the PGA Tour Champion circuit.
The 57-year-old South African triumphed 24 years after winning the PGA Tour's BellSouth Classic at the same course, competing under the modified Stableford scoring system used for the first time in this senior event.
Goosen closed with a 14-point final round, beating Stephen Ames by two points under a system that awarded eight points for an albatross, five for eagle, and two for birdie.
Second-Round leader Zach Johnson finished third with 36 points, while Atlanta local Stewart Cink, the Senior PGA winner last week, placed fourth with 35 points.
Cink, a Georgia Tech alumnus, finished his tournament with a 19-point final round, extending his strong season to three victories.
