- The collapse occurred due to heavy rains while devotees, mostly from Uttar Pradesh, were sleeping in the hall seeking blessings from the Bageshwar Dham seer.
- Two injured individuals received treatment at the Chhatarpur district hospital, while others were transferred to hospitals in Gwalior, Mirzapur, and Howrah for further care, with some casualties sustaining fractures.
- The deceased was identified as Anita Devi, 40, from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, and eyewitness Gulab, injured in the incident, confirmed the wall buried the devotees while they slept.
- Officials said this was the second serious accident at Bageshwar Dham in a week, prompting urgency in improving safety for devotees sheltering during heavy rainfall.
