The study, which examined 60 people over the age of 60 diagnosed with mild to moderate Alzheimer's, found that symptoms worsened more rapidly in patients with high orexin levels. However, those with stronger, slow-oscillation brainwave patterns during deep sleep showed slower disease progression.
