The Department of Education of the Municipality of Agios Vasilios is requesting the inclusion of candidates for the 2027 Panhellenic Examinations from the fire-stricken areas of the Municipality of Agios Vasilios in the special admission rate to Tertiary Education, in a documented letter sent today to the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharaki.

The decision of the Minister of Education, Sofia Zacharaki, was published in the Government Gazette, which determines the beneficiaries and supporting documents for admission to higher education in the academic year 2026-2027 of students and graduates of General and Vocational High Schools in areas affected by natural disasters.

"In October 2025, we brought the issue to Parliament, documented and timely, asking for the obvious: that students in areas affected by natural disasters have the same support that the State has provided in similar cases," he says, among other things.
