The Chamber for the Enforcement of Sentences announced on Monday the maintenance of the isolation regime of the multi-recidivist robber Réonie Faid. She considered that the conditions of detention of the “king of escape” were not “unworthy”.
Réonie Faïd's lawyer, whose sentence will end in 2057, has announced that she is appealing in cassation.
However, the judges of the Douai Court of Appeal consider that the detention regime imposed on Réonie Faïd is “particularly rigorous”.
The multi-repeat robber Rédouane Faïd remains in solitary confinement in Vendin-le-Vieil prison. In its decision issued on Monday, the Douai Penalty Enforcement Chamber did not follow the decision of a sentence enforcement judge who had requested an end to this isolation.
