Ex-Knicks Guard Kevin McCullar Jr. Signs Two-Way Contract with Raptors
The move gives Toronto a developmental wing after Kevin McCullar Jr. averaged 16.8 points in 14 G League games last season, the team said.
On Thursday, the Toronto Raptors signed guard Kevin McCullar Jr. to a two-way contract, filling their final available roster spot.
McCullar joins the organization after spending two seasons with the New York Knicks, who waived the 6-foot-6 guard near the end of the preseason.
During 14 games with the Westchester Knicks last season, he averaged 16.8 points and 6.2 assists; he earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2024 after developing at Kansas and Texas Tech.
Unlike a standard NBA contract, this agreement allows McCullar to split time between the Raptors and their G League affiliate, Raptors 905, without using a standard roster spot.
With all three two-way positions now occupied, Toronto has completed its developmental roster; it remains unclear whether McCullar will immediately join the NBA rotation or begin with the G League affiliate.
