Williams’ two late TDs lift Rams over Eagles 24-20
Kyren Williams scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns as Los Angeles erased a 10-point deficit and handed Philadelphia its second straight loss.
On Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams rallied from a 10-point deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20 at Lincoln Financial Field. Running back Kyren Williams scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to secure the comeback victory.
Already missing several key players, the Eagles lost star running back Saquon Barkley to a hamstring injury in the first quarter. Despite building a 20-10 halftime lead, Philadelphia's offense failed to score again and went 0-for-12 on third-down conversions.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford overcame two first-half interceptions to finish with 316 yards on 32-of-51 passing. Receiver Puka Nacua added 125 yards on nine catches while Williams gained 146 yards from scrimmage, powering the late offensive surge.
The loss drops the Eagles to 2-2 on the season, while the Rams also stand at 2-2. Philadelphia prepares to travel to London next week to face the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars.
Los Angeles now carries momentum into a high-profile matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Oct. 12, at SoFi Stadium. The win provided a boost after the Rams faced the possibility of starting the season 1-3.
