Rahm Not 'Thrilled' by LIV as He Returns to DP World Tour
Jon Rahm returns to the DP World Tour this week at the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship, marking his first start since leaving LIV Golf and welcoming his fourth child last month.
Rahm departed LIV Golf after rejecting proposed changes to LIV 2.0, saying, 'I just didn't like what they were going with 2.0,' as the format moved away from team-focused play.
The 31-year-old withdrew from the Spanish Open last month to be with his wife, Kelley Cahill, for the birth of their daughter Begona, saying he was 'able to be home and be dad for a little bit.'
LIV Golf applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund withdrew support, prompting Rahm to surrender claims against the bankruptcy estate reported to be up to $150m.
Rahm remains open to a PGA Tour return, indicating he would accept a one-year suspension and a $5m charitable donation if offered terms matching those given to Brooks Koepka.
