Pierre 'P' Thomas, Quality Control Co-Founder, Hospitalized Following Medical Emergency
A rep said the 45-year-old hip-hop executive is recovering after a heart attack and is being monitored in a hospital ICU.
On Friday, Aug. 21, Quality Control Music CEO Pierre 'P' Thomas was hospitalized in Las Vegas following a heart attack. He is currently being monitored in the ICU under doctors' care.
The 45-year-old executive co-founded the Atlanta-based label Quality Control Music with Kevin 'Coach K' Lee in 2013, helping guide Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and City Girls to stardom.
In 2023, South Korean music company HYBE acquired the Atlanta-based Media Holdings for $300 million, while Thomas and Lee received Billboard's Executive of the Year Award in 2018 for their industry leadership.
A company representative confirmed that Thomas is "alive" and currently hospitalized receiving medical care. TMZ first reported the heart attack, noting he is under doctors' care in the Las Vegas hospital.
Quality Control requested privacy and space for Thomas and his family during recovery. The company stated, "We deeply appreciate everyone's concern, support, prayers, and loving energy right now.
