Qatar Airways topped AirlineRatings.com's 2026 global rankings for excellence in economy and business class, emphasizing comfort, choice, and value for passengers worldwide.
- This year Qatar Airways reclaimed the title of World’s Best Airline in AirlineRatings.com’s 2026 rankings, which assessed around 370 carriers.
- Emphasising measurable onboard experience, the AirlineRatings.com judging panel highlighted Qatar Airways' economy amenities and Qsuite, with Sharon Petersen stating, 'Qatar Airways offers a 31-32 inch seat pitch, generous blankets, quality meals, amenity kits, a vast entertainment library and Wi-Fi across much of its fleet'.
- Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Korean Air and STARLUX Airlines rounded out the top five, with STARLUX making a notable jump from 18th place last year, while Aeromexico dropped out due to customer feedback.
- Qantas dropped to 12th this year but won the World's Best Premium Economy award and World's Best Domestic Airline Service award, while Virgin Australia again won the World's Best Cabin Crew award.
- These results come ahead of other industry awards due later in 2026, including Skytrax's World Airline Awards, with Lufthansa, WestJet and Virgin Australia leading the hybrid rankings.
