PURVIS, Miss. (WHLT) - This week marks 116 years since an EF-4 tornado devastated the Town of Purvis on April 24, 1908. Many of those killed in the storm were buried in an unmarked grave that wasn't located until recently. It's believed that at least 75 people in Purvis were killed by the tornado.
