The Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC announced the launch of the production of all-new generation electronic chips. Ultra-performing microscopic chips called "2 nanometres". After two days of Chinese military exercises around the island, the announcement recalls Taiwan's central role in the global economy.

TSMC Kicks Off 2 nm Mass Production
TSMC has announced that it has started 2 nm mass production in Fab 22 which is located in the southern city of Kaohsiung in Taiwan. This is TSMC's first fab this far south in Taiwan and it's the first phase of as many as five that will be at this location.
