Today's headquarters is over 40 years old and is in the center of the village. The new building, on the north exit, will have more capacity for cars and better conditions for firefighters.
The Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Condeixa-a-Nova, in the district of Coimbra, has launched a public contest for the construction of a new barracks outside the center of the village, in an investment of four million euros. The president of the management, Jorge Gariso, has explained that the need for a new barracks is many years ago, due to the limitation of the current facilities and the antiquity of the building.
"The dream of a new barracks is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality," the company announces.
