A close associate of Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado returned from exile on Sunday evening. According to an AFP photographer, activist Claudia Macero was cheered by hundreds of supporters at Caracas airport.
Mrs Macero has been exiled for about two years and is in charge of media within Ms Machado's Sales party.
The opposition leader María Corina Machado is still prevented from entering Venezuela. Her deputy Claudia Macero now returned home and with her the hope for a democratic Venezuela.
In exile for more than a year, Macero is in charge of communications within the Vente party of Machado, who has been prevented from returning to Venezuela after the capture of President Nicolás Maduro in a US military operation in January.
