Regarding the amendment of the Labor Code, the Government proposes that November 24th be designated as "Vietnamese Culture Day" and a public holiday on which employees are entitled to full pay.
The draft law amending and supplementing several articles of the Labor Code, the Archives Law, the Gender Equality Law, the Red Cross Activities Law, and the Employment Law proposes adding a Vietnamese Culture Day (November 24) every year, during which employees are entitled to a day off with full pay.
The draft amendment to the Labor Code proposes that the Minister of Home Affairs announce the specific dates of annual public holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays, as decided by the Prime Minister, before September 30th of the preceding year.
