Claudette Pascal, professor of plastic arts at the Collège La Guicharde de Sanary-sur-Mer, stabbed four times by a 14-year-old student on 3 February, was appointed knight in the National Order of Merit by presidential decree of 30 March, published on Tuesday 31 March 2026 in the Official Gazette. She had spent eight days in intensive care after the aggression.
