Moldova parliament votes to end energy state of emergency
CHISINAU, April 24 - Moldova's parliament voted to lift the country's energy state of emergency from Saturday, which had been imposed after Russian attacks in neighbouring Ukraine knocked out a power line providing most of Moldova's needs. Read more at straitstimes.com.
The state of emergency in the energy sector of the Republic of Moldova was lifted, after Parliament approved the draft decision on this subject, presented by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, together with the Head of the National Crisis Management Centre (CNMC), and the Minister of Energy, will present themselves on Friday, 24 April, in Parliament, to request the repeal of the state of emergency in the energy sector, starting on 25 April and the transition to the state of alert regime within 60 days.
