Title helps Generals commandeer three sports on AAA All-State

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A fourth consecutive state softball title at Winfield paid dividends this season for the Generals, who landed three players on the Class AAA All-State first team.

Prep softball: Winfield's Carroll named WVSWA Class AAA all-state first-team captain

Four-time state champion Winfield placed three players on the Class AAA All-State first team as voted by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association, including captain Mattie Carroll who was a member of three of those title-winning teams.
