Premier League TV Revenue Increase Was Close to Rest of European Soccer Combined, UEFA Says
UEFA reports Premier League's TV revenue growth nearly matches €1.6 billion increase across 53 other European leagues from 2014-24, showing widening financial disparity.
On Thursday, UEFA reported Premier League clubs' TV revenue growth from 2014-24 nearly equalled the rest of Europe combined, benefiting from a 1.5 billion euros increase over the decade.
The report highlighted widening inequality in European clubs' total revenue growth, relying on audited club financial notes 2021-25 covering television income and transfer activity.
Data show Premier League clubs' total revenue rose by 3.5 billion euros while the 76 clubs in France, Germany, Italy and Spain grew by 5.9 billion euros.
England provided five of the eight clubs that automatically qualified for the Champions League last 16, and Newcastle joined them on Tuesday with a 9-3 aggregate win over Qarabag.
Transfer data show UEFA said Premier League's net transfer spend was 794m at Manchester United, 754m at Chelsea, and 675m at Arsenal, based on audited notes 2021-25.
