Russian missiles and drones strike at dawn Kiev, Zaporiyia, Kryvyi Rih, Kremenchug and Odessa
On the night of August 26-27, 2026, Russia launched a massive airstrike on Ukrainian territory. Oniks supersonic missiles, Iskander ballistic missiles, and 258 drones were used, some of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses. The attack primarily affected Kyiv, Odessa, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhia. At least nine people were injured, and one person died.
Russian forces claim to have reached facilities linked to the production of drones, logistics, energy and military supplies during night attacks in various regions of Ukraine.
The attack, which was carried out with kamikaze drones and missiles fired from land, sea and air, impacted installations of the military, steel and oil refining industry, as well as logistics centres in the cities of Kiev, Borispol, Zaporozhie, Kremenchug, Krivoi Rog and Ilichovka, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported.
