The Portuguese labour market stood out among the countries of the European Union in the second quarter, with employment growing both in the same period last year and in comparison with the first three months of 2026.
Portugal presented in the second quarter the third largest increase (2.2%) in the employment rate among the Member States of the European Union (EU), according to data released today by Eurostat.
