Minister for Infrastructure and Housing points out that the proposal presented this week by the European Commission confirms the strategy that Portugal adopted more than two years ago, with the 'Build Portugal' programme.
According to the Portuguese Government, the framework now presented by Brussels "follows several of the guidelines that had already been implemented in Portugal, namely the strengthening of housing supply, the availability of more land for construction or rental support."
The Portuguese Government today argued that the measures adopted in Portugal, through the Construct Portugal programme, launched about two years ago, are now being confirmed by the European Union (EU) in the affordable housing proposal.
