- Fuel prices remain approximately 50 per cent above last year, and the surcharge appears as "Other ATC " on bookings; competitors Air Transat, WestJet, and Air Canada Vacations also added surcharges.
- Markets began stabilizing after a June deal aimed at ending the war in the Middle East; while Porter adjusted its fees, other Canadian airlines have not yet responded to inquiries about reducing surcharges.
- Porter will continue to monitor fuel prices and make adjustments, with a goal to remove the surcharge entirely when costs return to levels seen at the beginning of this year.
