Pavel Kowal's meeting with Petro Poroshenko drew attention not only for the topics discussed, including the war and the future of Polish-Ukrainian relations, but also for the political significance of the Ukrainian interlocutor. The former Ukrainian president remains one of Volodymyr Zelensky's most important political rivals and the leader of the opposition European Solidarity party.
