- Earlier this week, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams voluntarily recalled one batch of Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bars, after a Tuesday FDA press release warned it contained undeclared wheat and soy.
- Because the bars contained undeclared wheat and soy, people with allergies face symptoms ranging from itchy skin to trouble breathing and anaphylaxis, and authorities advise calling 911 immediately.
- The recalled product, sold in boxes of three, was distributed to grocery stores nationwide and only the batch code 25-210 on top identifies the affected lot.
- So far, officials say no related illnesses have been reported, and the FDA and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams urge consumers to return the product to its place of purchase for a refund and to contact Jeni's at 614-488-3224 or contact@jenis.com.
