Next year, the special celebrations of the anniversary of the apparitions in Gietrzwałd (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship) begin and will last until 2028. Hope is growing among pilgrims and the faithful – everything indicates that Pope Leo XIV himself may come to Poland for this occasion!
"Gietrzwałd in Warmia is one of 31 apparition sites recognized by the Church. It should be as well-known as Lourdes or Fatima," says Dr. Ewa K. Czaczkowska, journalist, historian at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, and author of the book "Rediscovering Gietrzwałd. The Only Recognized Marian Apparitions in Poland."
