Lleida leads the economic growth of Catalonia with 3.5% of VAB in 2025, driven by a primary sector that rises 13.5%, according to BBVA. La entrada Lleida leads the economic growth of Catalonia in 2025 with an increase of 3.5% aparece primero en Moncloa.
The Ponent regions, along with the Penedès and the Girona-Olot axis, were the engine of economic growth in Catalonia last year, according to data from the 2026 Regional Economic Report published this Monday by BBVA. At the other extreme, Ribera d'Ebre and Terra Alta were the only two regions where economic activity decreased in 2025.
