Hamburg: Suspicion of hostage taking in massage parlour! Large-scale police operation

A hostage situation is said to have taken place in a Hamburg massage parlour on Tuesday. The police are on site with a large contingent.

Because his acquaintance sounded frightened over the phone, a man alerted the police to a possible hostage situation in the Barmbek-Süd district of Hamburg. On site, officials examine the building — and can give the warning.

In Hamburg, there is currently a major police operation in the Barmbek-Süd district. Emergency services have been on site on Humboldtstraße since around 12 noon, according to a police spokesman. The exact reasons for the operation have so far been unclear.
