Police: Medical delivery driver sexually assaulted woman in wheelchair
Police say Qaisar Ali, 39, entered the woman’s home without consent and faces charges including assault with intent to commit rape.
On Wednesday, August 5, the East Bridgewater Police Department arrested Brockton delivery driver Qaisar Ali, 39, after he allegedly assaulted a disabled woman during a pharmaceutical delivery on Sunday, August 2.
During the delivery, Ali allegedly entered the victim's home without consent while East Bridgewater Detective Cecilia Cacciatore reported the woman has "severe mobility issues and was using a wheelchair."
Investigators identified Ali and his white Toyota Camry after the victim reported the assault on Wednesday, prompting East Bridgewater Police Chief Michael Jenkins to commend the swift response and motor vehicle stop.
Ali faces multiple counts of assault and battery on a disabled person, indecent exposure, and assault with intent to commit rape; he was held on $10,000 bail and arraigned in Brockton District Court on Thursday.
Attorney information for the accused remains unavailable as legal proceedings move forward following an investigation that began when the victim reported the sexual assault incident earlier this week.
