Police hunt after man 'touched himself while staring at woman on London train’

British Transport Police released CCTV images seeking public help to identify a man who may have information on the sexual assault of a disabled passenger on a Liverpool-London train.

  • On Thursday, a disabled man was sexually assaulted on a Liverpool-to-Euston train service just after 9pm, British Transport Police said.
  • British Transport Police launched an inquiry into the assault and said details have only just been released.
  • Police urged witnesses to text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 140, or share information anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
  • Detectives appealed to the public for help identifying the person of interest, saying officers would like to speak to the man pictured as he may have information that would help their investigation.
  • Detectives released a CCTV image as the manhunt began, asking `Do you recognise this man?`, in connection with the attack earlier this month, police said.
