QUITO (AP) — A light aircraft lost track on Thursday at an airport in the Andean area of southern Ecuador and rushed over a busy avenue, leaving no casualties, reported the country's aeronautical authority.
The passenger plane operates for Cuencana Airlines.
Cessna Grand Caravan EX, a light-powered aircraft, took off from the runway and crashed on a busy road in the Ecuadorian city of Cuenca. On 8 October, an accident occurred at Mariscal La Mar airport, confirmed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Ecuador (DGAC).
The ECB confirmed that the crash aircraft in Cuenca carried securities from the institution. The cargo remains intact and in custody.
