Northbound I-405 Closures Mean a Congested Weekend Near Bellevue | Oct. 16-19
WSDOT says detours will be posted as crews pave and install concrete panels for the I-405 widening project.
- Starting at 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, WSDOT will close all lanes of Northbound I-405 in Bellevue between Southeast Eighth Street and Northeast Fourth Street until 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19.
- Part of the Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project, workers will pave, install concrete panels, and set an overhead sign structure supporting the I-405 Bus Rapid Transit line between Lynnwood and Tukwila.
- Eastbound I-90 will be reduced to two lanes from east of State Route 18 Snoqualmie Parkway to Southeast North Bend Way from 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.
- Signed detours will guide drivers around the Bellevue work zone, while WSDOT urges travelers to plan ahead using the Travel Center map to mitigate congestion throughout King County.
- Farther south, Washington State Department crews begin temporary repairs on the 76-year-old Narrows Bridge starting Saturday, Oct. 24, with lane closures continuing through Sunday, Nov. 8, to replace a deteriorating expansion joint.

BELLEVUE– People should plan for delays the weekend of Oct. 16-19 as crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation close several major routes.
