“Plagiarism hunter” Stefan Weber convicted

The Rector of the University of Klagenfurt is said to have been defamed. The Higher Regional Court of Linz confirmed the decision in the first instance

The self-proclaimed “plagiarism hunter” Stefan Weber has now also been sentenced in the second instance to pay compensation of 4,000 euros for defamation.

Weber had defamed Oliver Vitouch, the rector of Klagenfurt University. The Linz Higher Regional Court confirmed the verdict at first instance.
