Pirelli announced today that the compounds available in Formula 1 in 2026 would be new: the exclusion of the smallest type, the C6, which had been introduced at the beginning of the season. It had its star in the GP of Emilia-Romagna in May, and since then it has been used in more than three stages. But new tests made by the manufacturer indicated that its performance was very similar to that of the C5 tyres.
