Peter Krause to Star in NBC Drama ‘Protection’

In recent weeks, Peter Krause, Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actor, will star as Mike Thornhill in NBC's pilot Protection, produced by Universal Television, after NBC picked it up in January.
Creator and executive producer Josh Safran leads Protection, one of eight pilots NBC ordered to boost its output after producing just three pilots last year, with Jenna Bush Hager and Ben Spector executive producing under Bush Hager's first-look deal with Universal Studio Group.
Mike Thornhill is introduced as a former Secret Service agent and Assistant Director of Intelligence, while the Thornhill family must bridge differences to protect one another from a mysterious assassin.
Should NBC order a series, Protection would be Peter Krause's first TV role since he left 9-1-1, giving fans of 9-1-1 and his earlier work something to anticipate.
