A year ago to the day, on 29 June 2025, the first case of contagious nodular dermatosis (DNC) was confirmed on a farm in Entrelacs (Savoie). This unprecedented epizootic disease plunged the entire cattle industry into a deep crisis. Some affected herders were forced to euthanize their flock. At the Gaec du Houx Fleuri, Jean-Paul and Joël Simon lost 89 animals. Thanks to the solidarity of all, they were able to leave.
