Patriots Rule Out A.J. Brown, TreVeyon Henderson and Marcus Bryant vs. Dolphins
The Patriots will be thin at receiver and running back after ruling out A.J. Brown and TreVeyon Henderson, with two practice-squad elevations possible.
On Saturday, the New England Patriots ruled out wide receiver A.J. Brown and running back TreVeyon Henderson for Sunday's AFC East matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Brown missed practice Thursday and Friday due to a new knee issue compounding an existing ankle injury, while Henderson was sidelined by an illness causing him to miss late-week drills.
Brown, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, has nine catches for 101 yards in three games this season; Henderson has rushed for 203 yards on 52 carries in six games.
Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said, "Everybody comes in and prepares as a starter." The team will rely on Rhamondre Stevenson, Corey Kiner, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III, and Kyle Williams.
Additionally, the team ruled out backup offensive tackle Marcus Bryant, opting not to activate him from injured reserve. Cornerback Carlton Davis III and linebacker Christian Elliss remain questionable.
