This morning, the President again distanced himself from the granting of this benefit and anticipated that they will not be granted during the next month. In part of the ruling party they consider that there has been a delay in this matter and show discomfort by the words of the President.

The President stated that he did not contemplate a special ceremony for the coming 11 September and further ruled out any pardon prepared to be announced around the date.
The President stated that he has no resolved petitions and that he will analyze in his merit the cases by DDH or the social outbreak for humanitarian reasons, without questioning the judicial decisions. He also ruled out granting benefits for symbolic dates or performing special ceremonies in La Moneda.
