MERCAN Group Announces Its First Hotel Development in Panama: Pullman Panama City
The projects include a 300-key Pullman hotel and a 200-unit tower, and officials said 60 exporters logged more than US$17 million in trade intentions.
On Wednesday, MERCAN Group announced the development of Pullman Panama City and Santa Maria Luxury Apartments in Panama City, with a combined value exceeding US$200 million.
Although the developer partnered with the government in October 2025, the two projects only launched in March 2026, with the Pullman hotel in Bella Vista scheduled to open in 2028.
Foreign investors buying units through Panama's Qualified Investor Program must invest at least US$300,000, with MERCAN offering hotel buyers a five-year guaranteed buyback and estimated returns between 3% and 6%.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industries reported on Monday that a trade mission to four Caribbean markets generated US$17 million in business intentions, with 60 Panamanian companies participating.
These twin announcements reflect Panama's economic playbook of attracting foreign capital into tourism real estate while helping local firms expand exports, leveraging a 17.3% increase in visitors early this year.
