Pakistan Welcomes Progress on Gaza Peace Plan, Backs Disarmament Process
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed a phased disarmament breakthrough in Gaza announced after talks in Cairo involving the US, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.
Sharif urged a time-bound political process aimed at establishing an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital.
Pakistan, as a founding member of the Board of Peace, supports sustained international efforts to secure a just implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and regional peace.
Despite ongoing violence in Gaza following an October 2025 ceasefire, continued mediator meetings are planned to discuss the next phase of peace efforts.
