Illinois Run for the Fallen in Charleston to mark 25th anniversary of 9/11

Illinois Run for the Fallen is set for 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Linder Sport Complex. Participants can run or walk a lap in memory of fallen service members at any time during this event.

Fort Knox will hold its annual Patriot Day observance at the General George Patton Museum of Leadership Sept. 11, commemorating 25 years since the attacks.

Ground Broken On Memorial To Fallen PA Firefighters

In Somerset County, ground has been broken on a statewide memorial dedicated to fallen Pennsylvania firefighters. Ceremonies were held yesterday at the memorial’s planned site near the Flight 93 National Memorial.  The names of firefighters lost in service to Pennsylvania communities as far back as the 1700s will be featured at the memorial.
