Oxford University warned against new chancellor vote 'stitch-up'

Summary by Ground News
Oxford's council has ruled that it will vet all candidates looking to succeed the former cabinet minister Lord Patten of Barnes. The decision has fuelled suspicion that university leaders are attempting to ensure that a woman or someone from an ethnic minority gets the role. The new rules explicitly state that the committee set up to vet candidates will have   due regard to the principles of equality and diversity.
