Overnight lane, ramp closures on I-5 through Kent | Oct. 19-23
Two southbound lanes and two ramps will close overnight for drainage work tied to the SR-509 Completion Project, WSDOT said.
Starting Monday, Oct. 19, the Washington State Department of Transportation scheduled overnight lane and ramp closures on I-5 near Kent through Friday, Oct. 23.
Contractor crews will perform drainage work during the closures, which are essential for the ongoing SR-509 Completion Project and Puget Sound Gateway Program.
Two lanes of southbound I-5 will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. between SR-516 and South 272nd Street .
Ramp closures occur from 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, affecting the southbound I-5 exit to South 272nd Street and the SR-516 ramp; signed detours will be available.
These ramp closures allow crews to prepare the area for striping, completing necessary infrastructure tasks as part of the SR-509 Completion Project and Puget Sound Gateway Program.
