Lombardo, Ford in Statistical Tie According to Polling
Ford led in direct donations for the first time this cycle as the governor’s race drew more than $29 million in ad spending, AdImpact said.
A recent poll shows a statistical tie between Governor Joe Lombardo and Attorney General Aaron Ford in Nevada's governor's race, with Ford holding a slight advantage among likely voters.
Outside spending has made this Nevada's most expensive governor's race, with the Lombardo-affiliated Better Nevada PAC spending or reserving more than $29.3 million in campaign ads.
While Ford outraised Lombardo in direct contributions, Lombardo dwarfed his opponent in affiliated PAC fundraising, reporting more than $5.8 million compared to Ford's nearly $2.7 million.
Democrats lead fundraising in most other statewide races, with Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro raising more than $1.6 million from July through September in the attorney general contest.
Voters identified the economy as their top issue, followed by housing affordability and healthcare, as candidates continue to trade barbs over rising costs ahead of Election Day.
