"Our history is gone": Four families, 6 months after the Marshall fire

It's been six months since the wind-whipped fire skipped through Boulder County, burning about 1,000 homes. Thousands still are in limbo, renting houses and apartments temporarily in the hopes of finding their way home. The Colorado Sun kept in touch with four families we first interviewed in the days after the most destructive fire in state history reduced their homes to ash. Many vowed to rebuild, and to recreate the sense of community that they had lost.
